  1. Required programme SG. An eye opener. Well presented. But…. My take. When we take pride in diversity why talk of divide. I feel the divide is far less in India. There is a large “divide” between Americans (US) on the coasts and those inland. Very discernible. In India despite “anti Hindi” etc with immigration of labor from Eastern and NE states a large population of South Indians are learning spoken Hindi. The joke going around is that “what we were not taught in schools”, we have to learn now. But yes, there is a vast difference in the status of economy, literacy etc…. These require immediate address. Tailpiece: Let us work towards development (sabbath saath sabbath visas - not a political statement but a genuine appeal) and not lose the Indianness.
