@Gops- whatever China's moves, would be deemed offensive to Australia and its US counterparts, that is the reality! hence distance is considered immaterial here, sole aim is to pick any pretexts to contain China, as simple as that! to hype up the issues, procure more supports and alliances from those with the same stinks and bullying posturing countries like Canada, Japan, South Korea, India.....
