This is the whole problem with reducing complicated historical issues to simplistic rhetoric. We know George Washington kept slaves.   50. qpae123 I have no idea what you are talking about. The UK held a referendum. And the result was to leave the EU. Whether other countries decide to follow or not makes no difference. And yes, I think the EU is entirely to blame. No one in the UK ever voted to join a political union with Europe. If they had given Cameron something, anything the result might have been different. I certainly don't want to see an end to the EU. But how Brussels acts now depends on what sort of relationship they will have with the UK in the future. Its not in their interests to make an enemy. But if they do, there will be a price. As it will effect European security as a whole at a time when the US seems to be losing interest in NATO.
