  2. Saddam installed himself in power. And he was support by the soviets, not the US. Israel is not a problem. The problem was and is regimes like Gaddafi and Assad. Those that blamed everything on Israel while they terrorised their own people. And who supports those dictatorships? Look no further than Iran. The very same regime who gunned down their own kids on the streets when they raised their voices. If Mubarak had been supported by anyone but the west, say, by the Iranians or Russians, he would of carried out mass murder on the streets and they would have happily supported him all the way.
