Do you even know what 'Globalism' is?

@hswami74 Do you know what 'Globalism' is?

No one can tell me what 'Globalisation' even is. And yet they parrot the word like a mantra.

You sound like a commie

The feckless, the stupid, and the unemployable.

Obviously, no one who uses the word 'Globalism' actually knows what it is. So lets try 'Nationalism'. So what is Nationalism?

Just a bunch of whiny first worlders demanding increased state spending, but not wanting to pay for it. They think that makes them victims. And they so desperately want to be victims. But if you live in the west, you're one of the lucky few. For a start, you can vote for your government. As they did just last year in France. Imagine if you lived in China, or Syria, or Iran, or Russia. You'd really have something to complain about then.

@Monad Wisdom I don't see your explanation.

@jamesmoylan2861 Many 'anti-globalists' would consider those eco friendly treaties to be examples of globalism. As they see any treaty agreement that sets out binding rules that apply equally to all parties to be 'globalist'. This is why nationalist movements are so against international cooperation. They actually adopt the same rhetoric as the far left, but for different reasons. The far left see 'globalism' as something that facilitates successful capitalism. Which they are against. So, as with a great many other things, the far right and the far left are speaking as one.

@elias_xp95 First you have to define globalisation and globalism. So go ahead.

@steveprowse9482 So you're against free trade? Or do you just think you should be able to sell to other countries, but they shouldn't be able to sell to you?
1
@thepuzzledsage That depends on what the issue is, surely? So, for example, climate change effects everyone. And can only be tackled with some kind of global consensus. Or if you want to sell your products abroad, then rules need to be applied fairly to all trading nations. And enforced. You cannot expect others to only trade in ways that benefit you.
1
@thepuzzledsage You have to be specific. You can't just say 'I'm against globalism' and then not even know what globalism is. If you don't know what it means, then how the hell is anyone else supposed to know what it means? - At this point its just become a mantra for the brain dead on both the right and left to parrot whenever they can't be bothered to articulate why they're rioting.
1
@thepuzzledsage So you want to stop free trade? You expect to continue exporting while preventing imports? How do you think thats gonna work out?
1
@davidlloyd8374 Those who believe in conspiracies about a 'NWO' are the lunatic fringe. And I don't think its wise to allow policy to be set by a lunatic fringe. Logical reasoning is beyond them. And their thinking is confused and contradictory.

@AMYV3 To be taken seriously you have to come up with more than just empty vacuous mantras. You say you want 'equality for all', but you already have it. What you really want is equality of outcome. And thats not possible in a free society. As for poor countries living under dictatorships, that has nothing to do with people in France demanding lower taxation and higher state spending.
1
@Lane520 These demonstrations have nothing to do with the EU. Macron increased fuel prices because France needs to be bringing in more tax to pay for public services. Services like housing, education, welfare, etc. In other words, the very things these people are demanding more of.
