Caroline Lucas believes there should be another referendum. But despite most people voting to leave last time, she doesn't believe that a leave option should even be included in a second referendum. Just the option to vote for May's deal. Or to remain - Basically, it's heads the leave vote loses, and tails she wins.

@dave161256 For a vote to mean anything, the result has to be carried out. Otherwise why would anyone bother to vote at all? As for the laughable claim that 'demographics continue to change' and therefore people will all soon agree with each other on membership of the EU, what adolescent-minded idiot came up with that? Someone in the Guardian imagining a world were everyone all agrees with them, was it? People's opinion's change. The 1975 referendum polled 67% in favour of staying, and 32% in favour of leaving. For the assumption that young people are and always will be pro the EU to be true, 99% of people would have voted remain in 2016.
