I watched Caleb Cain's video. And while it is undoubtedly true that people are radicalised online, he didn't sound too convincing to me. He claims he was 'funnelled' towards the far right by right wing youtubers. But he was pretty desperate to make it clear that he, for example, never held any racist views. Almost as if he wanted the kudos of claiming to have been far right and to have turned away, without the stigma of actually having been far right. His very polished performance sounds contrived. And his argument (that right wing views funnel you to the far right) is not only not true, but I would say an attempt to demonise anyone who holds right wing views. But, if what he claims is true, then it's clear he has simply gone from one political extreme to the other - And the opposite of extremism is never the extreme opposite.

@FaradaySpeaks The best recruitment tool for the extreme right is the existence of the extreme left. The same is true the other way around. And as you move further towards the extremes, the moderates on the opposite side appear further away.
