So Femi Oluwole can see how suggestions that the Republic of Ireland be controlled by the UK might be offensive, but is ok with the EU's similar demands of the UK? Let's be honest here, Femi isn't interested in our choice. If he was, he'd have respected our choice. He's a very dishonest and fanatical individual.

The British Marxist historian, Eric Hobsbawm, life long communist, was asked just before he died if the millions of lives lost due starvation, mass murder, political terror, and the gulags would have been a price worth paying if communism had been a success. Hobsbawm said yes. But I'm guessing that at no point did the rancid old fart ever imagine himself, or anyone in his family or any of his friends, to be counted among those millions.

How naive have you gotta be to believe that western policy on Iran can rest on the actions of a few student demonstrators in Tehran? They are not going to bring about the downfall of the ayatollah, no matter how brave they are. And if that were at all likely, you would then have to argue that the west should once again stand by and do nothing while the Iranian regime carried out mass repressions, killing hundreds (which it already has done in Iran), by once again arguing that any western action to prevent that would only strengthen support for the ayatollah's regime - Western policy on Iran can not be contracted out to the few Iranian's in Iran who are against their regime. That is not realistic. And it will not work.

Ash Sarkar did say she was 'literally a communist'. Which, if anyone knows their history, is basically the same as someone saying 'I'm literally a nazi'. So I sure as hell won't lose any sleep over the fact that supporters of mass murdering authoritarian ideologies get abuse online. In fact I wouldn't want to live in a society where they don't.
