@toyotaprius79 Both the UK and the Republic of Ireland already enforce customs controls in Ireland without the need for a hard border. And have done since the signing of the GFA
2
@Kim1978222 Neither is necessary
2
Her aim is demonise the UK government for the actions of the Iranian regime. What a nasty piece of work.
2
Are you referring to 'Putin's little helpers'? They'd be all over it if they had a conspiracy to spread for their master.
2
@Patrick-jj5nh So you see nothing wrong with someone claiming that we benefit from EU grants, without mentioning that those grants are payed for by UK taxpayers?
2
No. It isn't. But then some of us aren't on a race to the bottom.
2
...And the opposite of Antifa and BLM is not Alex Jones. It is sanity.
2
Yes, we do. The Ukrainians keep capturing Russian soldiers. And Russia keeps asking for them back.
2
The EU already have risked peace there. As they're the only ones threatening to put up a hard border there.
2
@speedyhillski It'll be disastrous for the Republic of Ireland otherwise. And the EU don't want to be the ones to beak the GFA.
2
Lol. Everyone knows Russian 'elections' are a sham. Even Russians know their elections are a sham!
2
I like how Corbyn supporters have spent the last couple of years denying the very obvious fact the labour leadership is clearly racist. Then suddenly get all heated about the words 'funny tinge'. Because if Angela Smith can be assumed to be racist because of that, what can we assume about a man who has spent much of his political 'career' hanging around with violent terrorist hate groups?
2
Putin has been a fuckin disaster for Russia.
2
It is a fact that Putin was a KGB secret police colonel. And he regularly murders his opposition. And he's vastly corrupt. And he detests the democratic west. You fuckin moron.
2
But then I guess its understandable that Russians judge everyone else by their own incredibly low standards.
2
Corbyn is the left wing version of Trump
2
Makes a change from half the country calling the other half the enemy simply because they didn't vote the way they wanted them to.
2
No, because they don't even recognise it as a problem.
2
Bless him. He thinks he lives in a military police state. In reality, he has done more to aid real anti-democratic authoritarian regimes the world over than most others.
2
But that's a very good question. When did General Pinochet decide to be straight? Did he wake up one morning thinking, '...I kinda like men and women, but I think I'll go just for the women'? Cos I know I didn't!
2
Lol. Cobyn's socialism is looking to be a lot like the old national socialism!
2
It's called journalism. Peterson is well aware that his ideas, like all ideas, need to be questioned.
2
I like the Irish. Most English have Irish ancestors somewhere.

@randomdaveUK A referendum about the future of the UK, and whether it should continue with ever closer political union with the EU is a decision only UK citizens can make. And parliament voted to have a referendum. And it voted to implement the result. That's in no way 'advisory'.
2
All they need now is a Corbyn victory.
2
Doesn't this really depend on your political point of view? So when you agree with the party in power, you see the country being unified and positive. But when the politics doesn't go your way, you see division. Why are channel 4 pretending that political disagreement is something new?
2
Nope.
2
Equally, the UK continuing to pay into the EU after its left is like your gym expecting you to continue paying for the equipment you no longer use!
2
I'm guessing its exhausting keeping up on the latest trends in 'progressive' thinking.
2
And if the minority in Catalonia get their independence, what of those who disagree? How will the Catalan 'government' enforce its rule without a democratic mandate?
2
I think we can lay the blame for this on the labour party. They were the ones who bankrupted the country after all
2
@Ryuko Chan! Well, either there was a crises or there wasn't! If there was, then that explains why the country was left with so much debt after the last labour government - Which explains why the UK is still spending £39 billion a year on paying off just the interest on what the country now owes (thats more than the housing and environment budget combined, or just over a quarter of total spending on the NHS). Which explains why the issue is not caused by the tories.
2
@Ryuko Chan! Actually I agree with you. It would've happened no matter who was in power. But you have to admit it is dishonest of labour supporters to talk about spending cuts without acknowledging the very real reasons why they are a thing. And that is what labour do.
2
''Before David Davis had such confidence he could deliver one of the easiest trade deals in the history of trade deals that he didn't even bother going to any of the negotiations'' - That's because the UK government is negotiating a half in/half out deal. Not a Brexit.
2
@derpmansderpyskin ''When the UK leaves the EU, and your economy collapses, the left in America (me) will finally have an example of why isolationism, and right wing nationalism is bad.'' So the US will become full members of the European Union, when?
2
That was a vote on whether or not to remain a member of the EEC. And the result was respected. For 40 years.
2
Google Conqueror There are 8.7 million Israelis living in Israel. And 197 million Pakistanis living in Pakistan. I think we can all agree that Pakistan's human rights record is far worse. And yet, as I say, the left really couldn't care less about Pakistani human rights. So now tell me who are the better advocates?
2
Google Conqueror So even tho both Pakistan and China's human rights record are far worse than Israel's, the leader of the UK labour party should ignore that, and concentrate exclusively on Israel? Isn't that more than a little suspect considering Corbyn's personal support of, say, the Iranian regime? Not to mention his 'friends' in Hamas and Hezbollah, and his sectarian terrorist friends in the IRA? Surely, if Corbyn is all he and his supporters claim him to be, shouldn't we be holding him to a higher standard, rather than ignoring his blatant anti-Semitism, and his commitment and support of Islamist extremists and murderers?
2
So remainers are so fanatical in their loyalty to a political union that no one ever voted for, that they are prepared to completely trash the democratic process? What future is that for your kids? What argument are you going to use to legitimise your vote, or any vote, in the future? Because if you're not prepared to respect democracy, why should anyone else?
2
Mikhail Merkulov I think it's common knowledge that Putin is KGB isn't it?
2
Mikhail Merkulov Putin assassinates his opposition. Sounds a lot like the old KGB to me.
2
Yes it does. because that is precisely the same tactic they've been playing
2
@Aaron Giles There's nothing wrong with someone wanting a federal Europe. But in order for that to happen they first have to be honest about what they want. And then get the consent of the people. Which they clearly haven't got. And when that desire for political union harms trade, then I would argue its time for a rethink. But thats up to the EU. There are plenty of successful countries outside the EU. And the UK will join them.
2
I don't mind him making money. I just get tired of millionaires who have people lining up to hear what they have to say, and who clearly have a lot of cultural influence, talking like they are not part of the 'elite'.
2
You'd have to be seriously deluded to believe that a rancid old Trot with a history of supporting sectarian terrorism in his own country, anti-Semitism, and the very worst of Islamist extremism, not to mention supporting just about every anti-western regime on the planet, has a hope of uniting the country on anything. Much less the issue of Brexit.
2
No one takes Russia seriously. On anything. Its good to see them humiliate themselves in front of the world tho. Next week it will be back to whining about 'Russophobia' Lol.
2
Too true. But it's easier to play the virtuous victim.
