salim machila There was an uprising against a brutal, cruel, incompetent, and hated tyrant. The west simply shortened the war by taking him out. Good thing too. Gaddafi funded terrorism against not only this country, but many others too. Had the west stood by and done nothing, the war in Libya would most likely still be going on as it is in Syria. Had Gaddafi won, its very likely he would have carried out his threats against the people of Benghazi, and we would have seen hundreds of thousands of Libyans fleeing across the Med into Europe. It's about time people like you stopped making excuses. Because if you back tyrants like Gaddafi, instability is never far off. Comforting yourself in conspiracy theories that blame the west won't prevent that. If you support brutal authoritarianism, Libya/Syria is the result.
