When Iran arrested a UK citizen on charges of spying, Tulip Sidiq was among those who saw it as an opportunity to embarrass Boris Johnson for 'not doing enough' to get her released. Always willing to support anything that embarrasses the UK government (no matter who it is), this more than likely harmed the chances of getting her early release. Tulip Sidiq didn't care. She simply wanted to attack the tories. This is made clear by her total lack of interest in human rights abuses in Bangladesh. Even tho she is better placed than anyone in the UK to help those effected.
