  1. Then we have a problem. Because the issues driving these people into Europe are outside Europe. But there is no appetite to get involved. So the problem persists. You can't argue that the west has no right to intervene outside its borders, and then say we have a duty to give these people a home. And if economic immigrants are to be re-termed 'refugees', then we will undermine the argument to help real refugees. Sticking our heads in the sand and hoping the rest of the world will go away won't work.

  2. 40 odd years of Gaddafi rule wrecked Libya. You seem to have already forgotten that it was the Libyans who fought to remove him from power!

  3. Funny that. Because as we all know, Gaddafi really did sell weapons to terrorists. The IRA being among them.
