  1. But didnt we have this whole same debate with Rumania and Bulgaria? Where people were told that there would not be large numbers of Rumanians and Bulgarians coming to the UK once restrictions on their rights to live and work in the UK were removed in 2014? The media even hung out at airports and train stations asking 'where are all those Rumanians and Bulgarians?' - But in the event, numbers from the two countries went up 80% from 230,000 in 2014 to 413,000 in 2017. So shouldn't Channel 4 news be focusing on the issue of possible Turkish membership of the EU? Because if the UK remains part of the EU, then that is an issue that effects people in the UK. Which is what Johnson was focusing on. And Channel 4 news is ignoring.
