Corbyn is lying. He says he stopped working for Tehran's PressTV because of the Iranian regime's treatment of the opposition. But at what point did he think the Iranian Islamic Revolution was ever a democratic system of government? Did he not know about human rights abuses in Iran before that? And when he worked for PressTV, his focus was never on human rights abuses in Iran. The Iranian regime wouldn't have employed him if that were true.

John Johnson Any government's foreign policy will always be hypocritical. Because of the world we live in. So just as western democracies considered the Stalin regime to be the lesser of two evils (debatable - if you were unfortunate enough to live under it) when allying against Hitler, so too is it considered necessary today to have to deal with some pretty nasty regimes. Corbyn believes this too. Which is why he lent his support to the Iranian regime and/or the IRA. But he doesn't do that because he believes it is necessary for the good of UK interests. But because he supports the Iranian regime. Because he see's it is an ally against western liberal democracy. And capitalism. The same is true of his support of the socialist regime in Venezuela. George Galloway, his long-time friend, also thinks this way. So Jeremy Corbyn didn't work for the Islamic revolutionary regime's PressTV because he was interested in justice or human rights - You only have to compare Iran now, with Iran under the Shah to see how things are worse (especially for women). He worked for the regime because he will always support any cause that is against liberal democracy. And capitalism. Because he's an admirer of Karl Marx and Marxism (as he freely admits himself).
