  4. Milosevic did more than just try to get rid of some 'troublemakers who refused to assimilate'. But I'm guessing Serb nationalism appeals to a certain kind of servile fascist. Nice try at equating the two. Only it doesn't work. Unless you attempt to rewrite recent history.

  5. Russia is very keen on encouraging nationalism and separatism in western countries. Putin funds a supposed 'Anti-Globalization Movement' that hosts separatist movements from the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and the US (Texas and California). Many of them are ultra-nationalist. But basically its just western separatists. Obviously no Eurasian or Asian separatists. Not the Karakalpaks, or Uzbeks, or Siberians, or Chechens, or Tatars, Uyghur or Tibetans. When he annexed Crimea, he bussed in a few of them to 'observe' his 'referendum'.

  8. We could pick Russia apart if we redrew its borders along ethnic lines. Crimea was annexed by Russia. And the Ukrainians there have been ethnically cleansed. It's situation isn't comparable to Catalonia.

  9. You can't have a situation where everyone has to vote in whatever 'referendum' some self-selecting group decides to hold or it instantly becomes law.
