  1. What has the EU been doing all this time? It seems to want authority over member states, but not the responsibility. One half of the Irish border problem is the EU's problem. But apart from demanding the UK effectively split apart, what serious proposals has Brussels put forward to the UK government?

  7. Nope. The UK decided to leave the EU. As is any member state's right under article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty. If the EU doesn't want to deal with that, it had better hand the issue over to its member states governments.
