Don't worry. Apparently the president of the European Commission has no power. Which is why she doesn't have to stand for election. So her views on Brexit shouldn't really matter at all.

@endintiers The UK prime minister has to stand for election in order to sit in Parliament. You also get a chance to vote him, or her, and their party out of office in a couple years - So absolutely nothing like the UK PM.

@endintiers Boris Johnson is the member of parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, because he stood for election there. How do you not know that? And the UK voted to leave the EU. Therefore your argument that there are only two options, unaccountability or more centralised power, is a false choice.

@endintiers There have been 12 UK prime ministers that became PM without an election. This is because you vote for a party, not an individual. And you can vote against them during the next election. When and how will you vote against the president of the European Commission or her party?
