Well, they are the ones holding Brexit up. The country already decided.

The facts are that EU membership is not a necessity. For any country. Which is why there are so many successfully countries who are not members of the EU. If the minority wish to be part of a federal Europe, that's their right. But most people who voted remain did so out of fear. Not because they want to be part of a political union. Its a bit of a waste of time fantasising about a mournful sullen future filled with cynicism and regret, all because people voted to leave the EU. More than a bit passive aggressive. In 200 years time people will be wondering what all the fuss was about. And will find it strange that a minority were so obsessed with dumping the principle of democratic accountability simply because they found it an inconvenience.

@Aaron Giles Can you be sure that the EU will be the same then as it is now? How far would you be prepared to go towards political union?

@Aaron Giles A couple million people just signed a petition to disenfranchise the majority, because they don't agree with them - Not much to crow about there!
