A new Molotov/Ribbentrop pact? Lol

The difference is of course, the US takes out Saddam, Gaddafi, the Taliban, and kicks the Kim's out of South Korea. While Russia supports Assad, the Kims, invades its democratic neighbours, and allies with nazis. In fact, I can't think of one time when Russia supported democratic freedom in its entire history. As it much prefers the tyrants and mass murderers (check out who Russians vote for in their 'Greatest Ever Russian' polls-Putin is seen as slightly less great than the genocidal psychopath Stalin). And I wouldn't get too hyped up on the whole 'saving Europe from Islam' thing. Russia's Muslim population is far higher than Europe's.

It is a fact that the west has been bombing ISIS targets in Syria. It is also a fact that Russia invaded and annexed Ukrainian territory. Obviously, Putin held a 'referendum'. At gunpoint. And invited far right European political 'observers'. But he also counted the votes. And we all know what happens when you allow the KGB to count the votes (it's well known that Russians can have an opinion on everyone else's politics, but their own).

We know that Russia annexed Ukrainian territory, because if you look at a Russian map of Europe, Ukraine has got a bit smaller. And Russia has got a bit bigger. Obviously, I've heard the kremlin propaganda about nazis taking over Ukraine many times before. It's a lie designed to justify Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Nothing more. There are Russian regular troops fighting in eastern Ukraine alongside mercenaries. We know this, because the Ukrainians capture them. And then Moscow demands prisoner exchanges. The going rate is generally one Ukrainian for every two Russians. Sounds about right to me. There are also Russia's Chechen mercenaries fighting in eastern Ukraine. These are particularly despised for their brutality. I know many Ukrainians. And I can tell you that although Ukraine has a shared history with Russia, that is now over. The war that the Russians have waged against them, and the lies they have told about them, mean that Ukraine now see's Russia as the enemy. And will do for many generations to come. It is illegal under international law to invade another country and annex it's territory. It's also an act of war. Crimea, if it is anyone's 'historical homeland' belongs to the Crimean tartars. They have a long history of being oppressed by the Russians. And are suffering under Russian occupation once again. Russia has always been an enemy of democracy. And will always side with anybody against it. Russians traditionally prefer to live on their knees, but they make the mistake of believing that everyone else does too. Russia is nothing to envy. It's basically a third-world country with nukes. Nobody buys Russia's version of history. Or the present. Least of all the Ukrainians.

And don't forget, Trump called up Putin and told him to evacuate his base in Syria (the one that used chemical weapons) because he was going to bomb it. And Putin meekly obeyed. Lol.

Lol. The west has been bombing ISIS for years now. They warned Assad what would happen if he went to war against his own people. But Russia wanted to keep its naval bases in the Med. And will fight till the last Syrian to keep its puppet in place. Six years of all-out war in Syria. Estimates put the total number of casualties at between 400,000 to well over half a million (Iraqi casualties since 2003 are between 110,000 and 460,000). Hardly a success for Russian foreign policy. And all to keep the Assad regime in power for another forty years? I'd rather fight a war against terrorists. Than in support of a terrorist.

Aleksander Aleksandrovich Funny how every neighbour Russia annexes territory from is always the aggressor! If there were nazis in Ukraine, Russia would be allied to them.

Russia annexed Ukrainian territory and the whole world knows this. So why the continued claims that is was anything else? It really doesn't help to mention Kosovo. Because Kosovo was never annexed by anyone. And if Russia has a problem with Kosovo's independence, why invade Ukraine? Everyone knows Russian troops are fighting in eastern Ukraine. We even know what Russian army unit was responsible for shooting down MH17! And yes, I know who Bandera was. He was most certainly nothing like the genocidal war criminal Stalin. Who outdid even Hitler when it came to mass murder. And you do know that Stalin allied with nazi Germany when he and Hitler invaded Poland? Why point at Bandera, when Stalin is so popular in Russia today? Don't they still have statues of Stalin in Russia? Do they still wear his medals proudly, despite everything we know about him? Spare me the desperate kremlin propaganda and lies. You think talking Bandera somehow justifies Russia's war against Ukraine? If it were true that Ukraine was full of nazis, Russia would ally with them. Not attack them. That is what Russia's own history shows us.

Once again, Kosovo has not be annexed by anyone. Whereas Crimea has been annexed by Russia. A sham 'referendum' was then held at the point of a gun. And the Russian occupiers counted the 'votes'. Now, you and I both know that Russian elections are a sham. It took years for Kosovo to gain its independence. Putin annexed Crimea in a matter of days. And anyone who protested was arrested by Russian occupying forces. Disappeared. Tortured. Or exiled. Let's hope Russia thinks the whole thing was worth it. Because Ukraine is now its enemy. Hundreds of years of shared history up in smoke. And yet another former Warsaw Pact member eventually heading to full NATO membership.

Russia has always had an unearned sense of its own entitlement. But take away the nukes and you're left with just another third-world dictatorship.

Why would the Ukrainians hate Russia, do you think? Aren't they the aggressors and Russia the victim? Most westerners have a very low opinion of Russia. Putin is generally only popular with the extreme right. Which is pretty ironic.

There's the true Russia in all its vicious, envious ingloriousness. Do the world a favour and go sulk someplace else. Lol
