The mess has come about because parliament voted to hold a referendum on EU membership, promised they would abide by the result, promised again they would abide by the result just before the last election, and now many of them have gone back on that promise. Constantly voting against everything but remaining in the EU. Effectively meaning that many of them were re-elected on a lie. Parliament is at odds with the public and will do anything and everything to sabotage Brexit.

@Lies Tricks If that were true, why did parliament vote to enact article 50? Facts are that the people voted to leave. Leaving the EU is not dependent on any deal the EU might or might not offer.
