  1. Because it's all very well caring. But what are you actually gonna do? How much do you really care about the people of Syria? Enough to send in troops? Or would you simply then switch focus to counting the number of civilian casualties caused by the US and its allies? Because no matter how careful you are, civilian casualties would be inevitable. And they would be laid at the feet of the west. Remember all those people marching under 'Not In My Name' banners? - Ask them if they care.
