  1. Huawei has contracts all across the EU. So its not really a case of the UK being alone in ignoring the security issues involved.

  2.  @ADifferentBias  Really? So the EU will ban Huawei's involvement in 5G infrastructure? It should. And I hope it does. And I hope the UK does too. But so far threats over security cooperation with the UK have come from the US. And not the EU. And thats where it matters.

  3. A no deal Brexit simply means that neither side could come to an agreement. If you describe that as a 'breach of the Good Friday Agreement', you would then have to go on to explain exactly who is in breach of the agreement and how? As the Good Friday Agreement is not a treaty that commits one side to agreeing with whatever the other side demands. In fact, the idea that the GFA in anyway commits the UK to being a member of a political union with the rest of Europe is completely false. As it has no democratic mandate to do so. The people of Northern Ireland got to vote on the GFA. The people of the republic of Ireland got to vote on the GFA. But at no point did the rest of the UK get to vote on the GFA, which, had the agreement locked the UK into the EU forever more you would have expected. Besides which, surely the blame for the violence is down to those who are responsible for it? To claim anything else (that it is those in government who 'show no sanctity for human life' - what a weaselly way with words you have), is to essentially be guilty of using violence committed by others to further your own political aims. Thats pretty low. And do you really want to live in a country where the political agenda is set by violent terrorists, rather than by ballot? What other violent terrorists acts will you take advantage of when it suits your politics? And what will your argument be when others follow your lead?
