firstly, japan barely tests. Secondly, shibuya crossing is very quiet now

wuhan has over 50k cases, and thats most likely an undercount

in nyc, barely anyone wore face masks, unti de blasio and cuomo urged new yorkers use them(later became mandatory). In fact, it was the asian new yorkers who put on masks first, and new yorkers of other races(includes whites, blacks, hispanics) attacked them for doing so. actionkid has footage dating back to march. Until early-mid april, masks were rarely seen outside of chinatown, while inside chinatown, everyone wore them.

@1등급 it wasn't until mayors across south korea attempted to press criminal charges against the cult that they released the names of their members. South korean government acted quickly and tested all the members in a period of days(the few days in late february of 800+ new cases per day, were the days the shinsheonji members were being tested)

they're all in east asia

@greenbean3289 thats why new york has been hit harder than any other american city and its not even close. It has 10 times more cases than the second worst affected american city

actually, the whole of china went under lockdown too. Public transport, schools, and non-essential services all over the country were ordered to be shut. Only one person per household can leave every 2 days to buy groceries. China's policy was hard lockdown for hubei, soft lockdown for rest of the country.

@greenbean3289 yeah, remember back in january and february, china was locking down cities, and western governments mocked it as a little flu and nothing to worry about. Western countries were hit hard, and now they blame china, for not warning them.

A. L. Japan has a similar amount of confirmed cases as South Korea, but in reality, Japan probably has far more, since they’re polar opposites when it comes to testing

@AlphineWolf canada got hit hard by sars and this time too, with more than 40k cases. Unlike hk, tw and sk, they didn't learn from that past experience
1
@AlphineWolf well only toronto was hit hard that time, because a woman from hong kong, the sars epicenter, brought it to toronto. This time, all the country is affected, with montreal being the hardest hit cities
1
@AlphineWolf bc and ontario did have experience yes. Them being hit by sars is because they have a large population of hong kongers, and hong kong was the epicenter that time

@1등급 japan has a much larger population(almost 3 times higher than sk)
