Especially true for East Asian countries like Japan. where working hours for parents are very long, school system is very stressful and living spaces are tiny

China's birth rate is already very low and they're in a similar situation as Japan already demographically, however, unlike Japan, they aren't a wealthy country yet

Well it's due to increased tensions with China, Russia and North Korea which are all near Japan. Remember the fact that Japan has hostile neighbours on their doorstep
