  6. We're a democracy. Things need to be put up to debate, by the people and our representatives. People should be free to make their own opinions about mitigation measures. Political parties represent differing opinions. That's how it works. In every country that's a democracy. There's an ongoing debate about mitigation measures. You would call it "politicization." Doesn't work any different in the US
