@rodwallace6237 and SARS cov-1 wasn't widespread. Very few people were infected outside of hong kong, taipei, beijing, singapore and hanoi

don't forget, high population density with crowded trains + no masks=nyc in march and early april, when usa recommended against masks and few wore them, even in nyc. Densely populated nyc recorded over 800 deaths a day, more than tokyo since the start. NY was one of first places in US to introduce mask mandate, and has highest compliance rate, now they have one of lowest infections in USA despite high population density. If tokyo was like sweden. I'm pretty sure its gonna have colossal death toll
