In the developing world, it's more about wealth and socialism vs capitalism and poorer rural areas more socialist and wealthier urban areas more capitalist whilst socially conservative believes are found across political spectrum, while in developed world, more social issues with the progressive cities vs traditionalist countryside. Also perhaps ethnic breakdown too, eg developing countries, ethnic minorities, and in India, religious minorities, which tend to vote more left wing, tend to live in the countryside(eg Brazil and Peru, cities disporpotionally white while countryside disporpotionally indigenous or African). In western countries they tend to live in major cities, while countryside has homogenous population of majority ethnic group

  7. Medicare for all requires high income tax rates in order to fund it so no income tax and Medicare for all are contradictory positions. Take Europe for instance. They have Medicare for all. Even when the US effectively takes care of their defence, their tax rates including both income and sales are extremely high and significantly higher than the US in order to fund it. Treating people is expensive. You either pay it through expensive medical bills like the US or a huge amount of extra taxation like Europe

  9. Right wing is about traditionalism and in the US(and western countries as a whole), the social conservatism is based on Christian values. You can see right wing in every country operates on values derived from that countries predominant religion, like right wing in Middle East is all about Islamic values, Israel about Jewish values, India about Hindu values, etc
