  4.  c m  Actually Canada's murder rate is the norm, or in fact above the norm for developed countries, with murder rates generally between 0.5 and 1.5/100k. The US is in a league of its own in terms of murders among developed countries recording more than 6/100k a year, so much so that it shaves off life expectancy compared to other developed countries
