@chazlee2105 actually america's outbreak was quite manageable too, until it reached nyc. There, it exploded, and the nyc metro area with 200000 cases has more than any other COUNTRY including spain and italy

they added 1290 deaths today after other countries pressured them to reveal "true" numbers. China is definitely hiding their deaths. This is the tip of the iceberg

@mr_sb germany still has exponential growth.

@br2541 and don't forget taiwan and hong kong do quite a lot of testing. Their positivity rates are under 1%, showing that they test a sufficient number of people. That really shows virus hasn't spread widely in their communities, and their cases are attributed to foreign travel(first mainland china, then western countries)

uk usa and france now started counting home deaths

western governments are telling people to wear masks and westerners are finally putting them on, but its too late.

except for south korea, taiwan, hong kong. They were either hit by sars or mers recently. Western countries meanwhile, remember the hysteria surrounding ebola in 2014, and how officials predicted that there was going to be an outbreak in the west that never happened
1
what about california. Other american states are praising them for their great response.
1
the korean people likely still had ptsd from mers back in 2015, so they also took it very seriously
1
@mahaloaloha6819 brazil is a tropical country and they have 30000+ cases with more than 1000 deaths. Tropical climate does not completely stop virus
1
german patients tend to be younger and healthier than covid 19 patients in other countries, thats why
1
they don't test much either. Only 320000 tests in country of 1.4 billion where virus started. USA, 2 million+ tests so far

@yellow submarine a lot of americans openly flout lockdown. Even a lot of famous youtubers, with millions of audience post videos of them doing so and they seem proud of it. Also, there was a protest in michigan today, because americans couldn't stand lockdown and wanted to go out so bad
1
@rcchen5624 south korea got hit with mers in 2015. Their neighbours got hit with sars in 2003. All east asian countries have experience
1
