lockdown won't last for 2 years. The infected people will either recover or die, and since everyone's apart, there is no one to spread it to. Thats how china beat the virus in 3 months. Strict lockdown, no contact with anyone outside household

@Robert-cu9bm sweden has been leading the world in new deaths per capita for past week. They're stretching the gap even wider

@veerpalsingh5026 no lockdown in japan, taiwan, south korea. Low infection rates. Also, china's death toll is likely not accurate. Based on cremation data, it is estimated that there are 42000 deaths in hubei province alone. The healthcare system in province collapsed during peak of outbreak, so data collection has also been severely affected

@MrHoneHeke taiwan didn't lockdown, just like sweden. Yet despite them having much more dense than sweden, their death toll is just 7 compared to 4000+ for sweden. Populations of both countries are quite old, so age doesn't matter in this case. The only difference between the 2 countries really is border control and use of masks

@vinayn9110 germany is also different from sweden is that everyone is required to wear masks, while in sweden, its not even reccomended, and very few wear masks. Also, in germany, public facilities have to be disinfected throughly and regularly. No such rule in sweden
