  1. exactly, since this virus can spread asymptomatically and you could unknowingly carry the virus, I believe that making masks mandatory, like they did in china, is likely going to slow transmission

  3. its spiralled out of control in us and european cities including london, new york, paris, madrid and milan, to a magnitude far greater than that in hong kong. I guess those cities were too complacent and didn't take lessons from hong kong, on how they managed to control the spread to a slow rate, despite being close to china, getting it early and the city being extremely densely populated

  4. not all asians wear masks when they have a cold, in fact, most don't, wear them, even when they have cold/flu, and they only do so on days of severe air pollution or when there is a deadly pandemic around. Also, masks are not 100% effective, but its better than nothing.
