  10. Those are true. However other factors come into play. USA is far more dense than canada, having 10 times their population in an area smaller than canada. USA is far more visited than canada, including from china and europe, previous hotspots, and now some cases are coming in from latin america too, as latin americans want to be treated in the usa instead of their poor quality overwhelmed hospitals in their home countries. If you compare canadian cities with american cities, their death rates are actually quite similar with exception of nyc

  15. los angeles, houston and miami had huge spikes after large BLM marches, and now their public health officials are admitting it. Same thing happened in phoenix and atlanta, 2 other cities with large protests and large spikes. Didn't happen in minneapolis and nyc, same reason as canada, as those places have brought infections to a low level before protests started

The most concerning spikes are in arizona, florida and texas, with cases also on a rather steep rise in california, georgia and the carolinas

In wisconsin, state supreme court ruled their pandemic mitigation laws unconstitutional and all their restrictions were lifted overnight. Some states like georgia, arizona and texas opened up quickly and carelessly, while allowing masks to be optional, with their residents using them at low rates, even when cases are still on a slight rise, and after premature reopening, the rise became much steeper.
