  1. Historically, there was no city of mecca at the supposed time of muhammed, or in any century prior to that. No mecca, no muhammed. Minted coins and stone inscriptions show the Umayyads were Christian, but there were tensions between trinitarian and unitarian Christianity. The quran was a later fabrication project, and was even described as such by John of Damascus, who witnessed the events. Go listen to Jay Smith at PfanderFilms in his recent series of lectures, e.g. "We're looking for MUHAMMAD in the WRONG DIRECTION!" All backed up by facts.

  3. The most obvious clue that it is a fabricated cult is Mecca. This cannot possibly be what the 'standard islamic narrative' tells believers. They are told it is an ancient and famous trading city, where Adam and Eve were sent, and that Abraham visited. Go to google maps and see where it is; in a desert, way off any trading routes. The islamic narrative says it had lots of agriculture but there is no water. If there is no water, then there is no agriculture, and so no people. Mecca is not mentioned in contemporary historical texts, not found on any 7th century (or earlier) maps, nothing. There is absolutely no archaeological evidence under the sands of mecca for any large city in the 7th century or earlier, or for any agriculture. It is a fake. No Mecca, then no cult.

  4. No, that is a completely outdated understanding. The 'standard islamic narrative' (SIN) is a fabrication. Go to Pfander Films or Sneaker's Corner and see what really happened. The recent discussions on Pfander Films with scholars from Germany (Thomas Alexander) and France (Odon) are mind blowing. The meccan core of the quran was originally aramaic Christian lectionaries, and the whole thing was added to, altered and evolved until it was finally standardised by the Abbasids. It is a pile of garbage designed to give the arab empire its own scripture.
