@republicofcasuals Another proven fallacy that emanated from Craig Kelly MP. The STANDARD for measurement of temperatures throughout ALL of Australia was not even written and introduced until 1910. There were always these stories floating around about farmers recording huge temperatures on their verandahs, undr their big trees and in their outback dunnies. Your info is correct in that te recording was made at Bourke PO BUT it cannot ever be made official because it did not meet the requirements of the Standard...can you explain to Mr Kelly after you explain the science of Standards...
