  2. The amazing 250 tonne flagpole that sits atop of the pollies is still something they have to look up to. Good old Aussie workmanship with the raw stainless steel being produced in Port Kembla and the final fabrication done by a local operation. So they will never get away from that symbolism. The pole incidentally is supposed to resemble boomerangs stacked against each other.

  3. Canberra / the ACT have their very own piece of the NSW Coast. The Australian Capital Territory includes parts of Jervis Bay. Canberrans have a purpose built Highway to connect to the coast.
