  1. Adelaide is arguably Australia's best laid out city. You can thank Colonel William Light for the overall result. There's a dedication statue to him in the beautiful grounds adjacent to the beautiful Adelaide Oval. Gotta agree that the video only tellls some of the story which is to be expected on this medium.

Yes, an understated fact...it was built by escendants of the Afghan camelliers once they settled in Adelaide and along the route of the overland telegraph that they were a huge part of the construction. The camels were originally imported to be the ships of the desert for the Burke and Wills expedition. They latter became the real heavy lifters for telegraph and the railway line. The Adelaide to Darwin train is named the Ghan after them. Australia owes these people.

  4. SA was certainly not underrated during and after WW2 when it was trashed by mother England for their atomic bomb experimentation. So much Indigenous lands turned to rubbish heaps as a result. In those times absolutely no recognition was given to the traditional land owners. That Woomera region is also famous for the development of Australia's Jindivik missiles. The outback regions are brilliant and Wilpena Pound is a must for any bucket list...what a sight of mother nature at work. The nearby Lake Frome is anotheer marvel in that as a salt lake the salt is so pristine white it is spotted by NASA as a reference point on the Earth from space. I'd love to cover the Floreau Peninsula but I've taken up enough space and will let others go for it.
