  2. The MotoGP branding did not commence until 2002 and no MotoGP race has been held at Bathurst. Australian 500cc / 250cc and 125 cc Championship races hve been held there and for a lot longer than many think. Aussies should not forget that the Speedway GP originated in Australia at the Maitland track and we have had many World champions since. The sport is a national sport in some European nations.

  3. It does not conform to FI regulations...end of story. The track was modified severely to conform to WTCC regulations decades ago for a race. Are we suggesting it be changed to conform to whatever the category again and again.. One point no raised is the need to accommodate the F1 circus plus the fans. In its last year in Adelaide the Australian F1GP hd around 450,000 attendees over the week of the carnival...where are numbers like that going to be accommodated at or near Bathurst?
