  1. That would work if politicians swallowed their pride and resurrected the rail systems that were in place until the 60's and 70's. There were excellent tracks all over the place and travellers could get to many country towns. Fell apart when the trucking barons got into the pockets of politicians.

  2. A politicial system the same as Singapore where politicians don't get to play God when it comes to funding projects. Their constitution MANDATES that when a new area is developed the necessary infrastructure automatically becomes part of the whole deal. Hospitals, schools, housing, parks, shopping complexes, service stations, you name it, there is no stuffing around.
