I recall one that came inland at The Entrance on the NSW Central Coast in mid 2009. It severely damaged the Catholic Church and other buildings in The Entrance before crossing Tuggerah Lake and cutting through bushland around that area. It petered out after being active for approx ten k's.

@stever285 If you are referring to Darwin being demolished over Christmas 1974 it was caused by Tropical cyclone, Tracy, a much higher category than any tornado. TC's have also caused very severe damage on the Tropical Queeensland coast.

@JamieS1992 Not true...think about the damaging Cyclones that have torn apart numerous towns etc on the Queensland tropical coast and in Western Australia mining and agricultural areas.

Every State has a Governor...they are APPOINTED by the Government of the day and are representatives of the Queen. Premiers are ELECTED by their Party and by their electorate.
