  1. These missiles destroyed a significant portion of the precious few Ka-52 helicopters Russia still has. They're down to about 25% of their pre-war fleet. And all done by a couple munitions built when 56k modems were the pinnacle of internet connectivity.

  2.  @Creadeyh  because Russia has a permanent seat on the UN security council and can veto any further embargo sanctioned by the UN. Any embargoes that follow the current one will be unilateral actions by the US and its allies only. Russia supported (or at least didn’t oppose) the prior embargo. Now they clearly need what they didn’t need before. Waiting for the UN measures to expire gives Russia’s actions international legitimacy.

  3. "allow them to trade?" You can't embargo a country's trade with a trade partner who doesn't recognize the embargo.
