I really can’t stand the “we’re like family” line. I worked for a tech company in the middle of nowhere Missouri that spouted that and they were in reality just like any other company. A family that kicks a kid out and throws away everything in their room the same day for not doing a chore on time might be a family, but it sure as heck isn’t one you want to be part of.
