If Russia stops producing oil the oil wells stop functioning, they only have limited storage facilities, the last time a major field stopped pumping it took Russia (Via Western companies) 30 years to bring it back online (They are already flaring free gas into the atmosphere) Ship transfers are dangerous and expensive due to handling costs, insurance will therefore come at a premium. The options Russia has left for itself while continuing its illegal and barbaric war in Ukraine are uneconomical and will greatly affect its economy!?!

Inflation is in part due to the supply problem following COVID and the lockdowns in China, the war has made things worse, the West has more milder inflation (Although higher than what has become the normal) than the extremes of Russia and especially Turkey, China seems to be riding inflationary pressures at present but that might be because they are printing money and using debt, things will settle down after the war has ended or ends up in a stalemate, Russia's problems will just get worse from then, maybe China's as well, they are shipping a lot of debt at present and the property market is perilously close to default!
