Putin will push it as far as he can, he would be foolish to take a path of destruction for him and his country, the thing is do you want Putin to treat you as a second or third class citizen in your own land, where your life is forfeit, I suspect the majority of people would say no, so Putin must be stopped whatever the escalation he implements, as that his is aim for a half of Europe, not just Ukraine, Russia however is not a big economy (Regardless of what Putin says) it does have economic limits along with its obvious military limits (The might of the Russian Army is hanging onto 5 to 10% more of Ukraine's land than it held previously after nearly a year of war!?!). So there isn't a choice!?!
