@Milo-id9qd Russia can escalate but we must be cautious? we are escalating and should escalate to enable Ukraine to thwart Russia's barbaric invasion, of which they have committed numerous human rights violations, they regard caution as a sign of weakness that emboldens them!?!

Your very survival makes you react quicker and with a little more motivation and urgency, the Russians haven't realised they have been defeated yet but once they do they will collapse!?!

@BojanPeric-kq9et Russia could get hold of the technology if they wished (It never stopped the Soviet Union at the height of the cold war) but what would they do with it, that is the conundrum they face, they have gone backwards in their tank factory production models, not forward, and this will be their last war, their weaking economy and demographics will ensure that!?!

@tacticalsecltd4587 I know nothing about Tanks but obviously the Ukrainian soldiers do, they have executed three big liberations to date, and that's what is required, so more advanced weapons is hardly likely to make Ukraine's situation worse, the donor countries will supply the ammunition and spares as required. Ukraine with its air defence systems increasing week by week will be a no fly zone to Russia within two months, it's already practically secured at present and pretty soon it will get upgraded jets for Ukraine's defence or longer range missiles or both!?!

@colincampbell767 But the munitions will be supplied by the British, and all the spares etc. it won't be just dropped off and say get on with it, it hasn't worked that way, care is taken to get the supply lines run as smooth as possible, they will have shortages here and there but Ukraine has adapted far better than the Russians!?!

@BojanPeric-kq9et It isn't the Soviet Union anymore, it Putin's failed state called Russia, the West is now 20 to 30 years ahead. China used to be good at catch-up when it got hold of the plans and tech, but they can't do that anymore, and the funding has been pulled on their chip technology developments due to the lack of holding folding!?!

You can't co-operate with Countries that outright lie, provide disinformation and threaten your security, in the end that will cost more, Russia is a pyrrah state, China is making its way there, both will run out of their citizens money and will be bust, their ambitions are bigger than their population can pay for!?!

Ideal mix - Tidal, Wind, Nuclear, Solar, Hydro, Carbon - It is unfortunate at present that tidal power generation has not developed at scale and pace like wind generation, as unlike all other renewables, it's energy is guaranteed, it might be due to the capital outlays but if they are built to withstand marine environments they will be cheaper in the long term!?!
