The Russians are building three defensive positions on the opposite bank of Kherson which will be subject to flooding if the dam is blown and would weaken their position in this area, most of, if not all their air attacks will be shot down with air defence weapons. Russia will go for its tried and tested artillery until the total destruction method, but Ukraine will just occupy it out of harm's way but close enough to hit supply lines from Crimea or renewed attacks over the Dnipro into Kherson, and most probably redeploy a big chunk of troops to Melitopol for a land attack to cut the Russians in two and choke their supply lines!?!

Only if Russia pushes it, it's up to them, nobody in the West is going to accept Russia can act in Ukraine or other states as it sees fit, it must now withdraw, or bring its own downfall one way or another. The West cannot give in to Russia's blackmail on the use of nuclear weapons, or we will be blackmailed by every tinpot state with a nuclear weapon, and Russia should be reminded they are not the only ones with nuclear weapons!?!
