The Tories are still fighting over the leadership rather than going forward, it didn't help that the membership chose the wrong candidate, and the chancellor and Truss made a right botch of the mini budget by not keeping it mini and related only to the energy crisis, which in part was sound (It did not take into account that people who could pay should pay and a sliding scale for the rest), they wanted to make a tsunami of their intended forward straight ahead policy, only trouble was it hit the markets wall and came back and drowned the chancellor and leaves Truss hanging on to the raft, steady as it goes from here untill the next election then people (and the market) can vote on the change of direction!?!
