@elsaflora9181 100 billion is less than 3% of GDP, this can easily be mitigated, COVID and the Europe mainland caused Europe wide energy crisis has affected us more due to our transitional phase and does not mean a future stunted growth, indeed the forecasts are we will be the biggest European economy in 2030, Germany will be third!??

@theRab1609 It has its problems at present, they are slowly going to return to growth but by 2030 it is forecast to be the biggest economy in Europe, and Germany has far worse problems with energy and demographics!?!

@richard-gn3es NHS is not collapsing, the Unions are asking for unrealistic wage demands and the government needs to increase funding (By NHI tax increases which was scrapped by the legendary Liz Truss), living standards are falling due to the high rise of inflation caused by......high wage increases and us buying to much stuff, we should just tighten our belts for 6 to 12 months, and mainland Europe's dependence on Russian energy crashing not only their market but our market also, by 2030-2035 we will be majorly energy independent and more resilient!?!

@willlee7147 It is up to £1.23 from £1.07 to the dollar from Liz Truss debacle caused by Tory infighting, bad government will bring us down in or out of Europe, at least at present we are stabilising the economy and it will grow even if by a small amount ready for the next steady growth cycle. Comparing us to Ireland is not like for like, we are forecast to be the biggest economy in Europe by 2030, it may take a little longer with these minor setbacks but it will be achieved, I do not believe that the Russian economy is in a good shape, the IMF shouldn't believe anything Russia said, one wonders as it is European Mainland centric if it has been supplied with oily brown envelopes!?!
