@Liberty_Freedom_Brotherhood It may well be legal, unfortunately only a court can decide which means it's a minefield instead of being straight forward, I wonder why they did the interview though, they didn't appear to be short of a few bob, better to leave it all blow over, perhaps she will "write" a book!?!

As you need a lawyer to explain the ins and outs of charitable organisations it is unlikely that a prosecution will be successful, and although they have been a little wayward in the stewardship of parts of the charity a "sizeable" amount of people would have done the same thing. Overall Captain Toms Charity has given a vast amount to the NHS, far more than most charities for their causes unfortunately, the rules need cranking up, all charities should readily report how much money comes in, how much are the costs and how much actually go to charities, and it should be no less than 75%!?!

@JayneAFK If children are involved then their safety comes first and foremost and they must be taken from harm's way, full stop!?!

@arnieuk558 It is a problem as there is far too much traffic on the road, and public transport outside London is not joined up. People want to keep their car close to the property for security and most properties are not adapted for off road parking or not suitable for off road parking, this should be included in all new properties. Generally most motorists park anywhere without any consideration for other people and the law should be tightened up considerably, in Japan you have a permit for one vehicle outside your house and the rest must be off road, that sounds like a place to make a start!?!

Statement of opinion dressed up as a fact, but that's just my opinion!?!

It's up to the people who donate, it's their money and their choice, not yours, the NHS saves people's lives or improves their conditions on occasions and some people surprisingly (Who can't afford private health care) are grateful for that! If the book didn't say it was for charity or prompted to say it was for charity then that's the end of that, surely her father has a right to look after his daughter (Even if she is allegedly greedy!), and if their company claimed COVID grants inappropriately then the Government should seek redress, not social media, innocent until proven guilty!?!

@Arcticnick Not much difference, get a big dog!?!
2
@MareWithSomeBees Does that mean we do not get an opinion then if we are male because then we only remain "the problem" and not part of the solution, which appears to be, at present, to remain "in danger" or "the victim" very strange!?!
2
@Mary_LadyofLight The UK has a functioning welfare state so provision can be made for all those circumstances you have noted, it involves leg work and paperwork and explaining your predicament, but considering the circumstances it would appear that should be the way to go, it is not the 1900's!?!

There is currently no law just if people agree with your agenda, the Bristol Statue should not have been criminally damaged unless they carried out a survey of Bristol people first, they just assumed it, the second one is a total travesty of justice and shows the Paris agreement should be recinded and the law is an ass and depends on your social standing, if it was white working class males you would have been straight into jail, it really is a minefield that is being exposed, they will be getting off with murder next on the basis the victim didn't really deserve to live!?!

@incinerati You don't see a problem a child gets knocked over and gets one euro with the court already giving compassion to the "perpertrator", and the perpetrator looks like getting thousands for doing something he shouldn't have done, looks like another BREXIT bonus to me!?!

The rules are either too slack or not implemented, however people maybe should take the law into their own hands (Within reason) when people are stopping you going about your business, legal consideration to that would make it less likely for it to happen as people could take direct action by applying hard to remove stickers (Blocking the pavement for disabled user etc.) and the like, also just stop oil should be allowed to be physically removed by Joe Public from blocking the road. Going about your business safely is a big deal in civilised society protesters can protest but not hinder your progress!?!

People in the West (North America in particular) are increasing in size, airlines might be using the average weight from three decades ago when the plane was originally developed, so this may be the problem, the airplane companies are defacto discriminating against its passengers by not making allowance for their size, that is the problem, and the economic argument is tenuous because when after a certain number of passengers were on a plane they recently had to add more staff and on some planes they just took the seats out instead, people will always be in different shapes and sizes for whatever reason (It's not a crime to be overweight, however it should not be encouraged as it can make your health worse) and "public transport" should reflect that, not discriminate it and it should be regulated!?!

I think "it" is going overboard as it is advertising what it is, bits of Big Daddy, it does not confirm if "It" was a vegetarian, this might have a significant influence on the case in question, oh and from now on I wish to be known as "Shirley"!?!

Facebook marketplace is the wild west!?!

Banks should be sued, they treat people who don't agree with "them", whoever "them" is when the customers are not breaking the law and have legitimate views!?!
1
More like boot them out, the really "New World Order" no wokes!?!
1
I'm a customer and I have the opposite view!?!

@pinkthistle5713 Where the "others" go!?!
1
@grahvis As it is different circumstances for different people it can have more complexity, but changing your circumstances (Maybe methodically and over time rather than a major reset) must be more advisable than remaining in harm's way, there is always a solution, however it might not be an easy solution. People have to restart their lives due to unforseen circumstances all the time, sometimes without a choice!?!
1
@mikehipperson The police are majorly there to deter and investigate criminals and restrain hostiles from causing harm to others, they are not hostile to Joe public (Except a tiny minority which you get in all walks of life, unfortunately), the "other" lot are hostile to Joe public!?!
1
The prosecution should have a right to appeal against a fundamentally wrong verdict, the evidence is rather clear!?!
