@notenote2004 CNN reporting might be US specific for its audience, but it's far better than Russia or Chinese reporting which is government controlled, with severe penalties for not towing the line comrade, both Economies are going to the new normal, and it is majorly their decisions that caused that, whether they will collapse or limp along for decades is due to their own actions!?!

@shostako1284 You are delusional, the West is doing fine, it will be fine in the future, since the Communists took over in Russia (Only in 1917) it has gone bust once, it's going the same way again because it's on the same plan, China is on the same road and they only formed in 1949, it will just hit a bigger bump. The US has been going for 247 years democratically and Europe a lot, lot, lot longer, democracy is not perfect, but it's better than the alternatives!?!

Putin is a thug and thugged his way to top position in Russia, but his big mistake in declaring war is he has come into confrontation with people who can outsmart him (...and his regime) and he is generally coming second in all facets of this war!?!

If Russia uses the first nuclear strike against a country with no nuclear weapons then the game changes, Hawks will be in and Doves will be out in the West it will go into "proper" war footings, because it shows Russia has intent, the West assumes that nobody wants to use nuclear, if someone does then all bets are off, the threat is not a remote possibility it is a "in your face" fact, there is no stepping back from that, otherwise it will continue!?!

Well last century Germany and Russia didn't want to play ball, and this century Germany has sort of changed it's ways and it's just Russia who don't want to play ball, even though Germany professed by buying their energy Russia would improve, instead it funded the war in Ukraine by the Russians, so that doesn't work, being part of a bigger defensive network in Europe does and not trading with Autocratic Countries to dependency levels, and for Germany that is China also!?!

Russia is barbarically hostile and everybody should be aware of that, they should also be aware that Russia is failing to meet its own lofty ambitions because reality gave them a kick in the teeth, the Wider West should fully support Ukraine until Russia is booted out, that is the best result for the war in Ukraine, however Russia will still be a bad neighbour!?!

@bunncameron6687 Technically they were the second rated army in the World prior to the "Three Day Operation", facts and Russia don't add up, they have about 7 million people to mobilise (Unwilling!) as the rest are basket cases, Russia is a failed state, Europe was no threat to Russia, the biggest threat Russia faces is China their "limitless" friends, Putin gave Xi half control of a disputed island as a gesture, China's official new map shows it all belonging to China!?!

@Hangover-ry9bo I am a Boomer and all problems do not lie at our door, we have had to fight for our rights against the elite greedy politicians and the corporates, the younger generation have taken their eye off the ball with one sided Wokeness and other such wadscollop, it has allowed the tail (Minority) to wag the dog (Majority), that's the biggest problem today, everybody's equal but the rich and minorities are more equal than the majority, it is unsustainable!?!
