@Random Guy Immigration is not the key, it just moves the problems from one area to another and can cause fractionilsm, having 2.1 children in all countries is the key, not lower in some and higher in others, and proper governance without corruption!?!

@Random Guy Countries with legal immigrants thrive, countries with excessive amounts of illegal immigrants are a breeding ground for discontent, Germany has had a high influx of immigrants recently (Most of whom seem to protest a lot or draw protests against them), however it's demographics are just as dire as China's, Canada's immigrants are of the older generation, mid 30's plus and majorly not starting families and Australia exported its illegal immigrants elsewhere!?!

@worndown8280 Argentina could be majorly independent, South and North America are it's neighbours, I don't think it would take to long to be highly profitable if it wasn't so corrupt!?!

@juniorjames7076 Yes George talked a good talk but it is not going to happen in reality, Poland appears to be doing well at present however, but Germany and France will put the kibosh on it, more E.U. directives on the way!?!

@vijayvarade8077 The only trouble with that theory is that there are no countries without people in them, and each country just adopts to its population size, Japan's population may shrink, it's old population may suffer due to insufficient care due to worker shortage, but it will continue, it's neighbours might eye it up for invasion but it could (....and has recently) sign up to treaties with like minded countries!?!

@freefalling6960 Yes it does, as long as your defence institutions are bigger than your enemies!?!
